CLARE SANDS
Channeling the music of her ancestors, fearless fiddler and bilingual singer Clare Sands is a unique force in Irish music. Creating boundary breaking Fearless Folk music infused with a myriad of influences from around the world, Sands sings for the young and the old, brave and the bold.
Wowing audiences around Ireland & further afield with her groundbreaking style and warrior-like energy, these electrifying live performances see Clare on fiddle, guitar, percussion & vocals combined with live electronics to create soundscapes of story and song. Playing with the likes of Hothouse Flowers, her musical soul brothers, as well as Kíla, Imelda May, Mary Coughlan & more, Clare’s free and fearless spirit is never shy.
2021 saw Clare collaborate with Ireland’s finest Folk and Traditional musicians – Susan O’Neill, Steve Cooney & Tommy Sands, Brídín, & Liam Ó Maonlaí – for her unique project ‘Tírdhreacha agus Fuaimdhreacha.’ Described by Mark Radcliffe (The Folk Show, BBC2) as ‘Hypnotic, Tribal, and Full of Life’ – these songs are a taste of the invigorating sound to come.
2022 will see the release of Clare’s highly anticipated self-titled album. This new body of work explores tradition, the sea, and the power of women through the dark and light, love and loss, rise and fall. The return of live performance will bring Clare to Celtic Connections, Folk Alliance International, the Irish Arts Center NYC, Glastonbury Festival and much more – this ‘force of natures’ time has truly come.

THE FIDDLE CASE
The Fiddle Case are Eoin O'Neill on bouzouki, Adam Shapiro on fiddle and mandolin and multi-instrumentalist brothers Jon & Kieran O'Connell. A North Clare based band with years of sessions, gigs and adventuring under their belt; three albums, numerous singles and a thriving worldwide online community including 18,000+ monthly listeners on Spotify
When the covid lockdowns began, the band found themselves marooned in different parts of the county, but as soon as was possible they assembled at Mrs. O' Connell's house fear Miltown Malbay and endeavoured to continue their legendary Monday night session, be that as it was in a West Clare kitchen instead of a packed Doolin pub. The closeness and camaraderie of these nights inspired memories of favourite ballads and songs, and the idea for their newest album was born. "Ar Luail is a collection of songs that The Fiddle Case and legion others have sung on countless magic nights, the songs that keep us going and the melodies that lift our spirits. Recorded live in Miltown Malbay during late summer 2021, the band are returning to Mrs. O' Connell's kitchen on December Sth to release "Ar Luail and sing their songs again.
The Fiddle Case have gigged and toured all over Ireland and Europe, including festival gigs as diverse as Na Fir Bolg in Belgium to Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Ireland. Other notable gigs have been Doolin Folk Festival and supports to Christy Moore and Stockton's Wing. A recent collaboration with Luka Bloom was well received, and the two came together for a sold-out tour in Belgium. In 2016 the band released the timeless ballad "Liscannor Bay" , à paean to their native Co. Clare which resonated with listeners all over the world. This was the icad single from their album Audio Incense, and was followed in 2018 by their much loved long player"Write Me A Letter , with the eponymous single gamering significant airplay on Irish radio. At the end of 2019 they released the hugely popular song "The Butcher & The Vet' inspired by a famous night on a European tour.
