Event description
Mapping the accessibility of footpaths in Irish cities, towns and villages

About this event

The arrival of social distancing due to covid19 brought for many a strong awareness of the width and condition of local footpaths. Are Irish footpaths accessible? Accessible to whom? Different people have different needs when navigating footpaths. In order to address these questions the 'Crowd4Access' project team is organising a workshop on mapping the accessibility of Irish footpaths.

'Crowd4Access' is a citizen science project organised by the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics. The team comprises researchers and citizens working together to map the accessibility of Irish cities, towns and villages.
