Cork Textiles Network invites Full Members to join us for a THREAD Talk with Rebecca Devaney.

Rebecca moved to Paris in 2017 to study Haute Couture Embroidery at École Lesage so that she could incorporate the techniques into her Textile Art practice. Since then she has been working in the embroidery ateliers for Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino and Fendi.

She recently contributed a chapter to the exhibition catalogue of the Embellishment Exhibition at the Hasselt Museum of Fashion in Belgium on the origins, history and contemporary practices of traditional techniques in the embroidery ateliers today.

Rebecca will present her practice, studies and research as well as her samplers from École Lesage.
