Macra na Feirme Young Farmer and ICOS Skillnet are organising a four day course for young farmers potentially interested in becoming a director of a co-operative in the future. This course runs on 5&6th Jan, 12th Jan and one day the following week. The first 3 days are in Horse and Jockey and the fourth day includes a site visit to Moorepark Food Technology Research Centre. Cost includes meals and overnight accomodation on 5th Jan.
All participants should be young farmers or involved in agriculture and either themselves or their family be shareholders in a co-operative. Attendees should be current members of Macra and affiliation status will be checked after bookings are received. Non-members are welcome to attend at an extra cost. Job seekers or those in reciept of farm assist can attend free of charge, subject to availability. Courses proceed subject to funding availability.
This course counts as 25 credits to the Master of Agri Skills Award.
