David Mc Savage brings his new show "If that makes sense" to The Chestnut, Birr, on Friday 3rd May 2024.

When you say something but you aren't sure if you explained it well and the other person understood it. David McSavage is stand-up comedy's answer to spontaneous human combustion, an explosive and always surprising phenomenon that simply cannot be contained in a box or transposed to TV. His new show is a unique blend of energy, improvisation, and leaps of imagination that take his audience on a joyride they'll never forget. Even David has no idea what might happen when he unleashes his crazy brand of improvised comedy mayhem. He possesses the rare gift of creating a space where audiences feel like they are kids again, all taking part in a practical joke. ‘Viciously self-deprecating, and employs the trick of using a persona to articulate some of his more risqué and quite frankly unrepeatable material. McSavage's low-key but effective stage manner, gently strumming a guitar as he departs on numerous flights of whimsy, works brilliantly. His laid-back and laconic style provides a nice contrast to the screaming egomaniacs one often encounters at stand-up shows. McSavage has unexpectedly come out of the cold of perpetually being an outsider, and has somehow graduated into Irish comedy's small elite.’ Eamonn Sweeney - Irish Independent Supported by Aidan Killian, a passionate comedian who left a corporate banking job to save the world, one endorphin at a time. He has performed his unique comedy style for 7 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and was a ‘highlight’ at Glastonbury Festival 2016 and 2017. In 2017 he was nominated for Best Comedian at The World Fringe and has been sharing laughter on stages all over the world since. “Hysterical..passionate, driven intelligence” - Chortle ★ ★ ★ ★
