About this Event

Come join us for an awesome Day Trip to Civita di Bagnoregio "The dying Town"

One of the most beautiful old towns in Italy, it is also disappearing. Civita di Bagnoregio, a quarter of the Municipality of Bagnoregio, is located on a tufa rock hill and can be reached only by crossing a pedestrian bridge. Called the "The dying Town" by Bonaventura Tecchi, who was born here, Civita di Bagnoregio risks disappearing because the tufa hill where it is located is being eroded at the base by the continuous action of the two streams in the valleys below and from the rain and wind.

The destiny of this place, the cluster of medieval houses, the handful of families who still live the surreal landscape of surrounding white clay canyons make Bagnoregio a unique and enchanting place.

Important to wear comfortable shoes there is a lot of walking.

Most of us have already done this trip. It's a beautiful place to see, but only once!

Program:

➡ 8:45 - METRO A SAN GIOVANNI - Via Magnagrecia 13 - in front Che banca. ( MAP HERE)

➡ 9:10 - PIAZZA BOLOGNA 39 in front of the post office ( MAP HERE)

➡ 11:30 - Arrival.

You will have 15 minutes to refresh before our Tour Guide meets us

➡ 11:45 - Tour begins.

We'll catch the first shuttle bus (Extra cost of 1€ shuttle bus round trip) Please bring a few euros coins with you to avoid making change.

If you do not want to take the shuttle bus for €1 you can also walk it's about 15 minutes to the entrance where we will all get our tickets and start the tour.

There is also a entrance fee to enter Civita which cost €5.

➡ 13:45 - Tour ends and you can have lunch and walk around and take pictures. Places to eat in Bagnoregio are small so it would be difficult to find a place to accommodate big groups. You can either pack a lunch and sometimes the team can reserve for lunch but max 25 people would be able to attend. Which means if you are interested in having lunch with the group you have to let us know on the bus.

➡ 17.00 - Departure to Rome. Meeting point is at the shuttle bus and parking area. Please be on time. You can use the bathroom in the parking lot where bus is parked. Should be back to Rome by 19:30.

Cost:

€25

€20 - Young Adults under 25 (Email us)

€30 - On the bus (Make reservations)
