Event description
A round-table discussion about dying, funerary practices, and the afterlife with a woman who knows and loves death.

About this event

Join us on July 29th for an honest conversation about all aspects of death: from funeral rites to near-death experiences, to the stories of dead loved ones returning to us in dreams, to ancestor veneration and the fear of the unknown that touches us all at certain points in our lives.

Becca De La Rosa is a death-worker, a speaker for and with the dead, and a ghost-story aficionado. She is an editor at Cantrap Press and the co-creator of the podcast Mabel. In this meeting, she will pose questions, explore folklore and personal mythologies, and facilitate communication about a topic that is all too often brushed under the rug, despite the fact that this is one of the very few things that unites every living creature: the knowledge that we will, one day, die. Bring your theories, your questions, your own stories, and a cup of your favourite tea.
