DEDIPAC (Determinants of Diet and Physical Activity) Ireland
DEDIPAC is a pan-European project aimed at providing a better understanding of how biological, ecological, psychological, sociological, economic and socio-economic factors influence consumer decision making and how to translate that knowledge into the development of strategies for effective disease prevention in target populations.
You are cordially invited to this one-day symposium, which for the first time brings together the two largest consortia (DCU, UCC, UL, UCD, TCD) representing diet and physical activity in Ireland, to exchange knowledge and disseminate research findings from this HRB-funded joint programming initiative.
At this conference, research conducted by the Irish partners on diet, physical activity and sedentary behavior will be presented under the following themes:
1. Measurement of diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour
2. Determinants of diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour
3. Evaluation of public health and policy interventions for diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour

Please note that attendance at this event is FREE however registration is essential.
The conference will start at 9:00 a.m however registration will open at 8:15 a.m. and tea/coffee and pastries will be served.

1. Where is The Gibson Hotel located? Eircode: D01 X2P2. The Gibson Hotel is located in Dublin's Point Village - the closest hotel to the 3 Arena, and right beside the last stop on the Luas Red Line (Luas stop name: The Point),
2. Where do I go once I am in the hotel? The conference is taking place in the Stratocaster Suites A & B. Take a left after reception, walk past the bar/eating area and through the double doors. The registration desk will be infront of you.
3. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? At the Gibson Hotel car parking spaces are available at The Point Village Car Park located at rear of the hotel. The car park is accessed by the rear of the hotel –see hotel access map. Entrance from Sheriff Street Upper, Dublin 1. The hotel is localted right beside the last stop on the Luas Red Line (Luas stop name: The Point)
4. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No. If you have registered for this event using Eventbrite and received a confirmation email, the event organisers will have a record of your registration and you name has been automatically added to the attendee list.
