Deep Tissue Cupping Massage
Wed 8 February 2017, 09:30 – 17:30 GMT
Using her extensive knowledge of massage and other body therapies Christine Courtney wrote this course with an acupuncturist.
As Christine travels abroad teaching this course she has met people who are using cups therapeutically in children’s hospitals in Russia and for acute illness such as sore throats. All of this new knowledge gained is constantly being added to our course making it the most up to date and relavent Deep Tissue Cupping course available.
OBUS Deep Tissue Cupping Massage is a modified version of the common practice of cupping therapy used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The therapist learns to massage using the cups instead of their hands.
The results that this simple treatment produces are impressive.
Another names for it are:
Dry cupping as we do not draw blood as with the therapy of Wet Cupping also known as Hijama Therapy
Cold Cupping as we do not use flame to heat the cup before use
Non-ignatious as we use suction to attach the cups not flame
* Moving Cupping
* Massage Cupping
* Spot Cupping
* Stationary Cupping
How the cups work:
Through suction and negative pressure Cupping Massage will:
# Releases rigid soft tissue
# Drains excess fluid and toxins
# Loosens adhesions
# Lifts connective tissue
# Increases blood flow to skin and muscles
# Activates stagnate Qi
# Release tight and sore muscles
