FREE OF CHARGE


The Social Media Department has been awarded a contract from the Department of Communications, Climate Action & Environment to provide basic digital skills training to clients in the Ballyhoura area who have little or no experience of using the internet. The training aims to give people the confidence, motivation and skills to take their first steps online.

Training will be delivered in small groups of maximum 8 people over five two hour sessions, and is completely FREE of charge.


The next seesion will take place in the Westgate Computer Centre, Wexford 24th - 28th July 10am - 12moon.

Introduction to the internet

Internet safety & security

Email

Search engines and websites

Online government services

Conducting everyday transactions

Online voice and video calls

Use of “Apps”

Social Media

Video, TV and Radio

Shopping online

Instructional videos on YouTube

Online banking, including the process and security safeguards

Digital photography
