Dinosaurs after Dark
Overview
Join us at the Glucksman on Thursday, 11 December, for a unique evening of creative activities for young people.
Discover our current exhibition, Domain of the Dinosaurs, which presents over 250 fossils, including bones from the only known dinosaurs found in Ireland. The exhibition includes life-sized skeleton casts of the Megalosaurus and Scelidosaurus, and transports us back in time to a remarkable ancient world that is almost completely unrecognisable compared to our contemporary environment.
Once you’ve explored our exhibition, we invite you to get creative with fun, hands-on art activities that are inspired by Ireland’s ancient past.
The Glucksman team will be running creative walks throughout the evening that will bring participants into the University Lower Grounds after dark, learning about our nocturnal friends like bats, foxes, moths, and mice! These walks will encourage children to try a variety of art activities and to record their experiences of nature at night.
Book your place now!
Guardians must accompany children on creative walks and must remain in the museum for the duration of the visit.
Dinosaurs after Dark is supported by the Cork City Council Night Time Economy Fund.
