This workshop will provide advice on how to talk to children about autism so that they can better understand their autistic friends.
About this event
One of the barriers that Autistic children face in society is a lack of knowledge among their classmates and friends about autism. This lack of knowledge can lead neurotypical children to develop negative judgements and attitudes towards their autistic friends and classmates.
This workshop is designed for those who work with a Neurodiverse group of children and who want to educate the neurotypical children they work with about autism and how they can better relate to their autistic peers.
This workshop will last 50mins with 10mins for questions afterwards, and will be run by our Training Officer James Moroney. The training will be recorded and be made available to those who register for 48 hours afterwards.
