About this event

About this event:

This is for any mother who feels the burden of guilt in her motherhood.

One of the most common challenges that mothers face is the feeling of ‘being eaten alive by guilt’. There is a culture of ‘mum guilt’, we see jokes and memes that make fun of it, that turn it into something that goes hand in hand with motherhood.

I know that this is not how it has to be, there is another way. I know the freedom that comes with challenging (and dissolving) the beliefs we have that are feeding our guilt.

Guilt rears its ugly head in many ways, it shows up differently for everyone. Perhaps you’ll recognise some of these examples as to why a mother feels guilty:

- wanting time away from your family.

- because you love your job and can’t wait to go there in the morning.

- for losing your cool and shouting at your children.

- screen time.

- the food your children eat.

- resenting your partner

The list is endless. I have spoken to and worked with hundreds of mothers on this very topic. I have done market research on the subject of guilt and I know how it shows up in a mother’s life. I am a mother too.

During our time together in this workshop, I will help you get very clear on what it is you are feeling guilty about, why you feel this way and what to do about it. I will teach you practical tools that you can use going forward so that you can tackle the ever-present feelings of guilt. You will leave this workshop with at least one less thing to feel guilty about.

What’s the format of the workshop?

This workshop is interactive. There will be some teaching from me with plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion, I find this is often where we experience the magic of working with other women who are experiencing the same thing (there is absolutely no need to speak up during the workshop if you don’t want to, my intention is to create a space where you feel safe and comfortable).

We will also be working through some of the practical exercises together so that you can start getting results straight away and feel confident to keep using them long after the workshop has finished.

Is this just for new mums?

Absolutely not, this workshop is for all mothers. I’ve had mothers with adult children take part in my courses and workshops.

Do I need to have my camera on?

It’s not compulsory. In my experience, when you see the other mums on the call, it can really give you a confidence boost and you will want to be seen.

Will there be a recording of the workshop?

No, I’m afraid not. This decision is based on feedback from every online workshop and course I’ve ever run. In order to facilitate such open-hearted discussion and reflection, I made the decision not to record the calls. I hope you understand.
