Django Hot Club Ljubljana / Manouche jazz ⚿

Ljubljana je končno dobila svoj Hot Club. Mesečni cikel, ki bo potekal vsako četrto sredo v mesecu, vodi Peter Ugrin, profesor viole na Konservatoriju in violinist, ki ga poznamo iz skupine Artbeaters. Zasedbo oblikuje v manouche jazz tradiciji – visokoenergijska akustika brez bobnov, kjer se kitare pogovarjajo z violino in kontrabasom.

Jedro zasedbe tvorita tudi Nikola Matošić,vodja cikla Kumsko veče in najstarejši član naše programske ekipe, ter kitarist Mykhailo Levit. Skupaj gradijo nekaj, česar Ljubljana še ni imela – prostor, kjer se swing tridesetih sreča z neulovljivo energijo sodobne glasbene scene.

Ustvarjeno za ples, poslušanje in za tisti občutek, da si del trenutka, ki se dogaja prav zdaj. Če te zanima, kam te lahko popelje glasba brez ojačevalcev, a s srcem – pridi.

Ljubljana finally has its own Hot Club.

This new monthly series, taking place every fourth Wednesday, is led by Peter Ugrin, professor of viola at the Conservatory and violinist known from the group Artbeaters. The ensemble follows the manouche jazz tradition – high-energy acoustic sound without drums, where guitars converse with violin and double bass.

The core of the band also includes Nikola Matošić, curator of the Kumsko veče series and the most seasoned member of our program team, together with guitarist Mykhailo Levit. Together they’re shaping something Ljubljana hasn’t had before – a space where the swing of the thirties meets the raw energy of today’s jazz scene.

Created for dancing, listening, and that rare feeling of being part of a moment as it unfolds. If you’re curious where music without amplifiers but full of heart can take you – come.
