Event description

Description

On the May Bank Holiday week end, why not treat yourself to a leisurely guided walk in County Wicklow? The walk is about 3h long. The trail goes through the forest to a quiet pond shaded by beautiful old trees. Afterwards, it follows the edge of the forest up towards the mountains. Magnificent views open up over the Wicklow Mountains and the countryside stretching towards the sea. On the way back, Powerscourt Waterfall, the highest in Ireland can be seen on the far side of the valley. It looks as if it is falling in slow motion over the cliff’s edge and as the roar of the water cannot be heard, it blends in perfectly with the silence of the valley and the forest.
