Once again kicking off dlr Social Inclusion Week, all fitness levels are welcome, and you can walk, jog, run, wheel, push a buggy or even participate hopping in fancy dress if you want!
The 5-kilometre route will take participants around the picturesque Kilbogget Park and is suitable for all levels of ability and fitness. There is an entry fee of just €5 for adults (children are free) and participants will receive a t-shirt, medal and goodie bag as well as refreshments to keep energy levels up.
Places are limited so it’s important to book yours today. Please note that we are experiencing issues with booking through tablet devices, so if possible please register wit a PC or laptop.
This annual event is organised by DLR Sports Partnership and its partners Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, dlr Leisure Services, the HSE, Dublin Civil Defence, Sallynoggin College as well as Cabinteely Athletic and Football Clubs. When & Where
Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Sports Partnership
The Irish Sports Council established the Local Sports Partnership (LSP) initiative as a forum for sport at a local level, which is charged with improving opportunities to participate in sport for every member of the community. The key aims of the LSPs are to increase participation in sport and to ensure that local resources are used to best effect.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership was set up in April 2008 and works closely with the Local Authority and other key partners to promote participation, inclusion and coordination in sport in the County. Partners include; the Third level sector, VECs, Health Board, FÁS, commercial interests, sports clubs, schools and voluntary/community organisations. Over the past 3 years a key focus of the work of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership has been in the area of sports coach/volunteer training and education.
