Event description

Description

Approved by the Department of Education for 3 EPV days.

This exciting summer course is about creating meaningful, engaging and creative learning environments using drama.
It is suitable for teachers of junior infants right up to 6th class.
Each day participants will explore a range of tried and tested drama strategies and techniques. Participants will actively engage in workshops based around Owl Babies (junior/senior infants), Antarctica (1st/2nd class), archaeologists in Egypt (3rd/4th class) and Under the Hawthorn Tree (5th/6th class). The strategies and techniques explored on the course can be adapted and used to teach other aspects of the curriculum.
By the end of the week, participants will be equipped with the skills and tools needed to implement and devise drama schemes which are practical, relevant and great fun.
