Event description

Hi folks!

Thank you so much for your patience — we have been working tirelessly to figure out what option is the most viable for all involved and we have come to a tough decision.

As much as we would have loved to have brought a convention to Dublin this year, we feel the best decision is to postpone all events planned for 2020 to 2021. This means that DCC will not be going ahead as planned on August 8th and 9th.

While Ireland’s restrictions are lifting in a structured manner, there are still no concrete guidelines for indoor mass gatherings of our size and we need to take into consideration the guidelines of other countries also when it comes to the guests travelling to Ireland. We do not wish to have people waiting for us to get approval for dates this side of 2020 only to have plans change last minute due to policies outside of our control. At the end of the day, everyone’s health and safety is the most important thing.

So what does all this mean for ticket holders and traders?

Both ticket holders and traders will be given the option to reschedule their ticket to March 2021 for Spring Edition or request a full refund through the appropriate channels.

Refund request details will be shared in a separate social post and email. Transfers will be done automatically so you don’t need to do anything.

For those with tickets to the Robocop screening, those tickets will be refunded automatically and a new date will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

So what’s to come in 2021?

Well we have a few tricks up our sleeves....

DCC: Spring Edition — March 13 and 14 – Peter Weller and Stephanie Beatriz have already confirmed their attendance.

DCC: Summer Edition — August 14 and 15

We also have some An Evening Withs to be scheduled in and, a few surprise events to boot.

Don’t fret though as we’ve been working behind the scenes on something special for our fans to keep you going until next year.

We will have more announcements on guests in attendance for Spring Edition 2021 soon.

Thanks again to all our fans for the ongoing support and patience and a massive thank you to our team who we really couldn’t make any magic happen without.
