You want to find out more about contracting
You are a LTD company contractor or considering this route in the future
You are currently contracting but considering leaving for a permanent role
You’re contracting and need more information on protection/pension/mortgage planning

We'll also have a photographer present on the evening giving you the opportunity to get a complimentary professional headshot taken for your Linkedin/Social profile!

Background to Seminar
In 2014, the Professional Contractor Service Organisation (PCSO) was established by three of the leading Limited Company Providers in Ireland. Collectively, Gerard Kiernan, Icon Accounting, Michael Dineen, ContractingPlus (both presenting on the evening) and Richard Collins Mac Accountancy set out on a mission to create an organisation to support and promote the Professional Contracting Sector. Following on from the beginning of Revenue’s National Contractor’s Project in 2013 which undertook a series of audits on Contractors and their business expenses claims, the PCSO set out the mission to help establish a clear, fair and practical, tax and legislative framework specific to Ireland to cover the Professional Contracting Sector. Presentations will cover current lobbying efforts by the PCSO and talk to the aftermath of the contractor’s project.

Under Irish company law if you are company director you are legally responsible and liable for understanding the company accounts that you sign off at the end of each year.
The Agenda will also cover:
Expenses - Revenues current interpretation of contracting Ltd companies and what is deemed to be a legitimate or necessary expense.
PAYE modernisation - Revenue are introducing a new PAYE regime for employers from January 1st 2019, where employers will have to report payroll information to Revenue in “real-time” i.e. each time they pay their employees.

Financial Planning
While there are huge financial benefits to contracting these do not include employee benefits such as company pension plans, health insurance etc. Presentations will include the essential steps that you need to put in place to replace these benefits from the day you start contracting!
