Handel's monumental Messiah is a big sing, and a big listen for an audience. Happily, Handel composed it as an oratorio in three parts, and each part can stand alone. So the Dublin County Choir is bringing you Part Two of Messiah as our October concert, which deals with Jesus’ atoning sacrifice for our sins, His resurrection, His triumph over death and His eventual return in power and justice with the rousing Hallelujah Chorus! Joining the 120+ voices of the Choir we’ll have the pick of young Irish solo voices, and the Alan Smale String Ensemble. We’ll also be singing other smaller but equally great works from our wide repertoire, and the Ensemble will perform a movement from Bach's double violin concerto featuring the excellent 13 year old Sidi Bao! Don’t miss this evening of wonderful choral and instrumental music, under the direction of John Dexter!
