Dublin Mountains Community Archaeology Project Webinar
Event Information
About this event
The Dublin Mountains encompass a wealth of geological, archaeological, natural, built and cultural heritage sites reflecting life and death over millennia of Irish history. The tale of the mountains begins some 400 million years ago, and over the eons, layers and layers of stories have built up, forming peaks and valleys of triumph and tragedy as much as granite and schist.
Throughout history, the mountains have witnessed stories as epic as their peaks. Join archaeologist Neil Jackman at this FREE webinar where he will discuss the archaeology and stories of the uplands on Wednesday 02nd Feb at 7.30 pm.
Places are limited so please do book in advance. The webinar will be delivered over zoom and will be approximately 40 minutes with time for questions and answers afterwards.
This webinar is an output of the Dublin Mountains Community Archaeology Project, a new initiative from South Dublin County Council, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council and the Dublin Mountains Partnership, supported by the Heritage Council and managed by Abarta Heritage.
