A John O'Conor Celebration

About this Event

This first concert showcases five decades of John O’Conor’s teaching at the Royal Irish Academy and features former and current students in duet and solo performances. Participating artists are Dearbhla Brosnan and Dearbhla Collins (piano duet), Finghin Collins (piano solo), sisters Ailbhe McDonagh and Orla McDonagh (cello and piano), Fionnuala Moynihan (piano solo) and, anchoring the concert, a piano duo featuring John O’Conor and one of his phenomenally talented young students, 12-year-old Joe O’Grady, who will perform a new work by Ailbhe McDonagh commissioned by the Festival to mark the day.
