The Dyslexia Association of Ireland (DAI) is organising an Information Day for parents on dyslexia on Saturday, 19th November 2016 at DAI National Office, Talbot Street, Dublin 1.
Topics covered will include:
- What is Dyslexia?
- Support Strategies – What Parents Can Do
- Assistive Technology
There will be a split session on specific supports at primary level and secondary level.
The information day aims to:
- Give parents an overview of dyslexia in the context of the Irish education system
- Provide parents with the key information they need to act as advocates on behalf of their children
- Equip parents with some practical strategies they can implement themselves to help their children
