Event description

Description

Dúlamán brings some of Ireland’s most electrifying musicians together to perform an exhilarating concert of traditional music, trad-jazz fusion and contemporary Irish music.

Roscommon-born pianist Peter Regan is excited to be joined by flute player Eimear McGeown, fiddler Aoife Ní Bhriain and harp player Tara Viscardi. With a plethora of achievements under their belts; Peter having performed in Carnegie Hall New York and the National Concert Hall Dublin; Eimear a soloist at the BBC Last Night of the Proms; Aoife a winner of a TG4 Gradam Ceoil and a soloist with several international orchestras; and Tara having recently performed at Wigmore Hall and a finalist at the World Music Competition of the Wales International Harp Festival, this is a quartet who will give you passion and precision in equal measure in both classical and traditional styles.

Traditional music to ignite the passions of trad-enthusiasts, new classical music by Conor Linehan, Gráinne Mulvey and Bill Whelan if you’re looking for a breath of fresh air, and a blend of the two to open your mind to new musical horizons!

There will be complementary wine at 8:00 p.m. before the performance starts at 8:30, and plenty of craic and lively chat to be had when the performance ends.

All proceeds from the event will go towards commissioning a new piece by a young Irish composer.
