Event description
A webinar with speech and language therapist Tricia Curtis

About this event

Following recent lockdowns waiting lists for services are long; parents who have concerns about their child's development may also have concerns about how their children will progress to pre-school/ ECCE or from playschool to primary school.

Kildare County Childcare Committee are running a series of events for parents of young children, this is the first event in the series .

This session will be delivered by a Speech and Language therapist.

The webinar aims to help parents to understand how children acquire language and develop communication skills - both understanding and speaking.

Parents can expect to learn the underlying skills required for children to learn a language and to understand the ages and stages children go through in acquiring communication from 0 to 5 years.

There will also be practical tips parents can use with their children.

Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and will be provided with links to quality websites for information and resources.
