Event description
Clondalkin Library presents Early Literacy Support for Parents and 4-5 year olds who have just started school

About this event

Live event in Clondalkin Library.

When you're booking please note that it's 1 ticket per family.

The session involves young children and their parents in learning pre-literacy skills that help prepare children to do well in school, all taught through the art of storytelling, using puppets and props, and having lots of fun.

Barbara will give tons of tips for finding literacy everywhere. She will illustrate how the power of storytelling plays a vital role in your child’s literacy journey!

Barbara Coughlan is an innovative, creative educator, librarian and storyteller, having worked across Ireland and internationally.

Barbara holds an MA in Theatre Studies and so her work with children, families and adult learners, is rich, character driven, confidence building, and full of stories.

Barbara is passionate about literacy and has designed a range of workshops and learning experiences across developmental stages, for children, vulnerable adults, young families and professionals.

A parent or guardian will be required to be present for the duration of the event.

For this event, priority is given to people living in the South Dublin County area. This may lead to the cancellation of your ticket. We appreciate that this may cause disappointment, but hope for your understanding in this matter. Thank you.

Booking from Monday 4th October.
