On Saturday, September 14th, Seas Suas is hosting an Early Years Conference - First 5 Strategy: Rising to the Challenge to make the Vision a Reality.


This conference will bring together independent early years learning and care providers with Government Department officials to discuss and explore the First 5 Strategy and how we, as early years learning and care providers, will rise to the challenge to make the vision a reality.

Topics include:

  • Rollout of National Childcare Scheme

  • Legislation for School Age Childcare

  • Education inspection in the early years

  • Development of professional education and training programmes for the Early Learning and Care sector

  • Workforce Development Plan

  • Future regulation in Early Learning and Care sector


Speakers at the event include:

  • June O’Sullivan MBE Chief Executive, London Early Years Foundation (LEYF)

  • Toby Wolfe Early Years Quality Principle Officer, Department of Children & Youth Affairs

  • Fiona Mc Donnell National Manager: Early Years Inspectorate, Túsla – Child and Family Agency

  • Maresa Duignan Assistant Chief Inspector - Early Years Education and Policy, Department of Education and Skills

The conference will also include and facilitate round table discussions among early years providers in break out groups.

Registered attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions for the speakers to address in advance of the event.
