Amir Abualrob

Amir Abualrob is a Palestinian performer and theatre-maker. In 2013 joined The Freedom Theatre (TFT), Jenin refugee camp, Palestine and completed 4 years of study in Theatre and Cultural Resistance.

After they completed their studies, they worked with TFT school as a facilitator. They have been a part of the LGBT movement in Palestine.

In July 2019 they took a course in Character & Scene Study at The Lir, Dublin. They performed in and co-devised The Bed at Cairde Sligo Arts Festival 2020. In Oct 2020 they were the recipient of the AIC bursary award for Collaborative Arts and Cultural Diversity. and they were the recipient of the One-week residency of the Time At The Well with the Hawk’s Well Theatre Sligo & Cairde Sligo Arts Festival. In October 2021 Amir will be working at The Glens Centre, Manorhamilton with local and visiting artists on their project One of Many supported by The Arts Council and Create Ireland.

Sorcha Fox

Sorcha is a poet, writer, actor and facilitator. She has written 2 performance poetry shows, Who am Ireland? and Remember. She wrote her first Spoken Word play; For Rachel - 2 Squirrels, as part of the Home Theatre Ireland project in Draíocht, Dublin 2018 for the Dublin Theatre Festival. She has been working since on a longterm project with women in addiction recovery with Ashleigh House and Draíocht Blanchardstown called Amplify thanks to Create Ireland. In 2019, with the Hawkswell Theatre Sligo, she took part in a creative residency with Palestinian poet Rafeef Ziadah culminating in a performance on Culture Night 2019 of a new piece called ‘Medusa’ with live original music from Dee Armstrong and Lughaidh Armstrong Mayock. Sorcha is a member of the team that organizes PalFest Ireland, an Irish arts festival in support of Palestine. In 2017, she travelled to Jenin Refugee Camp in Northern Palestine where she completed a course in Theatre and Cultural Resistance with The Freedom Theatre. She facilitated The Bed project as part of Cairde Festival in 2020 with artists Amir Abualrob, Charmaine Matonsi, Abigail Ramaabya, Wasekere-Sekerani, Grace Moyo, Nokwanda Siziba, Donal O’Kelly and Rafeef Ziadah. She worked as a writing facilitator on Amir Abualrob’s project Taa Marbuta supported by Create Ireland and directed Amir’s piece The Road as part of Cairde festival 2021. She wrote and performed a piece called Sadah/Echo for Vagabond Voices at Cairde this year which was performed alongside Wasekere-Sekerani’s new work A House Under Attack as 2 Poems for Palestine.

Martin Brunsden

Martin Brunsden plays double bass and singing saw. He has worked with holy men and women, artists, musicians, poets, sculptors and theatre companies - and a magnificent herd of children.

He appears on a lot of professional recordings and stages all over the world.

The last twenty-five years have seen touring, recording, media appearances and a steadily growing reputation as a father.

Collaborators have included:

P.J.Harvey, Toumani Diabate, Baaba Maal, Hothouse Flowers, Liam O'Maonlaí, Steve Cooney, Pentangle, Danny Thompson, Jacqui Dankworth, Cleo Laine, Kíla, Solas, Goitse, Krisna Das, Alexei Sayle, Sinéad O'Connor, Theatre Lovett….. etc etc etc…
