Organiser Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre

Organiser of ECHOES - Maeve Binchy & Irish Writers - Morning Se

Dating back to 700AD, Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre offers a guided tour experience. Visitors can learn about the Castle’s history from Early Christian, through Viking, Medieval, Tudor and Victorian times to the present day. Costumed actors bring the history to colourful life. Situated in the picturesque, coastal, heritage town of Dalkey, the Castle also houses a Writers’ Gallery which celebrates the work of great Irish writers and creative artists from Joyce to Bono and Beckett to Maeve Binchy. These writers are further celebrated in Guided Literary Walks in the town and two bespoke literary stage shows (evenings only) performed internally in comfortable surroundings against the beautiful backdrop of St Begnet’s Church & Graveyard.
