Event description

Description

Music Under The Mountains are delighted to welcome the internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Eleanor McEvoy to continue our 2019 festival program!

Immersed in music from the age of four, Eleanor performed with the Irish National Symphony Orchestra before going on to joining “The Mary Black Band”. Eleanor came bursting onto the scene in earnest with her involvement in the “A Woman’s Heart” Album, performing the title track which she herself wrote. “A Woman’s Heart” went on to sell over 750,000 copies and to this days remains one of the highest selling albums in Irish history. This firmly established Eleanor as one of Ireland’s biggest stars, launching a career that has resulted in twelve studio albums and constant acclaim.

FAQs:

Where is the venue?

St. Kevins Church of Ireland is located in the small picturesque village of Hollywood in County Wicklow and has been the main venue for the festival since its inception in 1991. It is the oldest church in Leinster still in active use and dates back to the 12th century!

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Hollywood is a small picturesque village at the foot of the Wicklow mountains, bearing that in mind there are few public transport links in the area. Street parking is available in the village. The 65 Dublin Bus route provides a link to Blessington/Ballymore from Dublin city centre and local taxis are available in Blessington.

Music Under The Mountains will be providing a subsidised bus service for all event ticket holders, the bus will drop concertgoers within a 10km radius of the village, this would cover Ballymore Eustace, Donard, Blessington, Dunlavin and Valleymount. To avail of this service you will need your printed ticket or screenshot on your phone for verification. The bus will operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at two fixed collection times.
