Event description


A diverse group of empowered women share their experiences, wisdom and strength in this unique event. These Influential figures with their different cultural and religious backgrounds show women everywhere that we can make change possible if we work together.

All the money collected with the selling of the tickets will be directed to a women empowerment programme in Malawi that helps women to start up their own business and to provide independently for their children. (See https://sjogdonations.ie/malawi/women/).

ADINA BAR SHALOM - Ultra Orthodox Jew, Israel

Founder of the Haredi College in Jerusalem. Adina is involved in many activities promoting advancement in Israeli society and reconciliation between secular, religious and ultra-Orthodox sectors of the Jewish population. She is also active for creating inter-religious bridges and she has recently received the Israeli Prize for her lifetime achievements.


Strategy Consultant and film festival steering committee member. Bernadette is the former Festival Director of Watersprite: the Cambridge International Student Film Festival, which supports and showcases the world’s most talented emerging film-makers. Bernadette has coordinated Refugee Voices in Film events at two editions of the Cannes Film Festival in collaboration with the UNHCR. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2016.


Bestselling author, psychologist, entrepreneur and founder of the Women’s Empowerment Summit.


Former Ambassador of Ghana to Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, and former Permanent Representative of Ghana to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Funds for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the World Food Programme (WFP). She was the President of the Executive Board of WFP for 2014.

FATEN ZENATI - Arab Muslim, Israel

Social activist and the director of the Chicago community centre – Lod; a cultural centre that is open to Jews and Muslims in the city of Lod.


Happiness is an Irish trained Lawyer and Human Rights Activist. She has worked as a Consultant with the Government of South Sudan in its Public Grievances Chamber, and as a Legal/Investigations Officer in the Office of the Ombudsman for the Government of Malawi. Happiness has also worked as a Policy Officer with AkiDwA in Dublin and is one of the founders of the Association of Malawians in Ireland (AMAI).

HEDVA GOLDSCHMIDT - Modern Jewish Orthodox, Israel

Founder of Go2Films in 2005, she is a well-known Israeli film activist and distributor. Prior to that, she headed the Distribution Department at The Ma’ale Film School and worked as graphic designer and illustrator.

LIA G. BELTRAMI - Christian Catholic, Italy.

Filmmaker and manager. Lia was the artistic director of the exhibition of Vatican Pavillion at Expo Milano in 2015. Her life is dedicated to promoting dialogue building bridges. Along with Hedva Goldschmidt, Lia is the founder of Women of Faith for Peace group.

OLHA VOZNA - Ukraine

Olha comes from a Ukrainian background. In 2003 Olha moved to Italy and achieved her BA in DAMS - disciplines of the art of music and performing arts. As of 2016 Olha has been working as a press agent and assistant producer at Aurora Vision Film Company. She has also been event coordinator at Religion Today Film Festival since February 2017.
