A multi-disciplinary conference on the theme of citizenship with contributions from classicists, historians and social scientists. The origins and evolution of the concept of citizenship and identity will be explored from classical times, through the medieval period up to partition in Ireland focusing on the implications for Ireland’s citizens. Finally, contemporary issues such as Brexit, migration and integration will be discussed.
