About this event
This semester’s English and Theatre Studies Day will have the theme “Bearing Witness” and will be facilitated by the poet Lani O’Hanlon, and writer Dalal Sayed, who has written a book entitled Escape from War to Live in Peace about her experience of feeling from Syria and settling in Cappoquin, Waterford.
Lani has recently won the Trócaire Ireland Poetry Competition with her poem, “When I visit Dalal” about their relationship and the workshop and talk promise to be of great value to students considering ideas of social justice in their own writing, and in their studies.
