Event Details

The course will be delivred in 1 session between February and April 2018, of 6.5 hour duration, scheduled to take place 10:00am - 16:30pm in three sites Dublin, Waterford and Sligo.

The University Hospital Waterford (UHW) Waterford Site Session Dates are - UHW Saturday 24th February & Saturday 14th April 2018

The University Hospital Sligo (UHS) Sligo Site Session Dates are - UHS Friday 16th February & Friday 16th March 2018

The Learning Format

Blended Learning Course

  • Learning module covering core knowledge elements
  • Program of Clinical Skills Workshop delivered in 3 centres: Dublin, Waterford & Sligo
  • Focus on skills training & skills transfer
  • Satisfactory completion subject to practical evaluation of skills performance under supervision
  • Submission of 20 reflective practive papers.

Key Outcomes Include

  • Practical demonstration of ability to perform ear micro suction and nasal packing, relevant to the treatment of impacted wax, otitis and episaxis.

Completion of course qualifies CPD points and CME credits and credentialing in the procedures of micro suction and nasal packing from the NCPSRCI.
