Equine Assisted Ireland Conference
Update on The Irish National Register for Equine Assisted Activity Practioners
About this event
The development of a National Register for Equine Assisted Activity Practitioners is the key focus of this important event with an overview from both Ireland, North of Ireland and the UK. Service-users and their parents will highlight the importance of the Register from their perspective. We will also hear from Equine Assisted Activity Practitioners and their story of the Register. As part of the day we will review best practice of the welfare of the equine in Equine Assisted Activities. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to attend and engage in three of four practical demonstrations including Psychoeducational Vaulting, maximising the movement of the horses for the benefit of the rider, Equine Assisted Learning Experiential Session Tips and Techniques for the wellbeing of the Therapeutic Riding Horse.
Our aim is to keep this day interactive, experiential and informative. We also want to make it affordable as possible and invite you to bring your own picnic and join us for a picnic in the beautiful surrounds of the Walled Garden.
