Description

ESERO Ireland in partnership with The Institute of Physics and Science Gallery is offering a one day course for primary and secondary school teachers in Raspberry Pi to support ESA’s Astro Pi competition. www.astro-pi.org.

This course is for Teaching Council registered teachers only .

It is suitable for teachers who have neither coding nor Raspberry Pi experience

Astro Pi is an annual science and coding competition where student-written code is run on the International Space Station!

•Show the possibilities of computer programme
•Improve digital literacy skills
•Further interest in STEM subjects and careers
•Be an active participant in space science

One lucky teacher attending the full day session will win a Raspberry Pi to get them started with ESA’s Astro Pi competition

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Science Gallery is a centre city venue with lots of transport links. Unfortunately there is no parking available at TCD. There is paid and free on street parking nearby.
