Ex Oh Promotions Presents; Ailsha w Lisa Murray & Leah Moran
About this event
AILSHA is an Irish composer for video games, singer-songwriter and producer from Co. Wicklow, Ireland. She comes from a prolific musical family (her father, Shaun Davey (The Brendan Voyage), mother, Rita Connolly (Granuaile), and sister, Cathy Davey (The Nameless)). Growing up, AILSHA's childhood was enchanted by fairytales and video games. At the age of eleven she began to compose video game-style soundtracks and taught herself to produce them using her father's software and equipment. In her teenage years she began to write songs about her life and established her rhapsodic, wry style- accompanied by music inspired by her fairytale and video game influences. AILSHA's signature 'goth-pop' sound today has drawn comparisons to Lily Allen, Danny Elfman and The Divine Comedy.
AILSHA started gigging locally while she was working as a cruelty-free makeup artist and ran a blog called 'Flawless and Pawless'. The blog was nominated for multiple awards and earned her the title of 'Ireland's Leading Cruelty-Free Blogger' by Goss.ie. In 2021 she left the beauty industry to pursue music full-time. Still within her first year of releasing music, AILSHA's single releases have seen support from international blogs (EARMILK, Digital Tour Bus and more), national radio stations ('Track of the Week' on TodayFM 'One to Watch' on Spin 1038) and her single 'FBOY' was #1 in the Irish iTunes Charts.
Lisa Murray is a singer/songwriter, music producer and multi-disciplinary artist from Co. Meath. Her music combines autobiographical and narrative story telling with her unique production skills to craft feel-good anthems with all the hallmarks of excellent pop tracks. Her tuneful, synth-heavy and harmony focused sound takes inspiration from renowned pop voices such as Taylor Swift, Sigrid and MARINA.
Lisa’s most recent single ‘i unfollowed u’ struck a chord with listeners both in Ireland and abroad due to its universal theme of unfollowing an ex on social media after a breakup. The release secured her a slot as iRadio’s iLoveIrish track of the month, which aided her in reaching over 2.7 million impacts on the Irish radio waves. She has also been hailed ‘One to Watch’ by Spin1038 as well as appearing in the top 10 of the Irish Radio Breakers Chart for four weeks after the release of the cheeky pop anthem.
Lisa holds a Masters degree in Music Production, Technology and Innovation from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music as well as an undergraduate degree in Music and Irish from Trinity College Dublin. Alongside her musical work, Lisa works as an Audio Engineer at Sony Music Entertainment. She is also passionate about uplifting women and gender minorities in the industry, and devotes a great deal of her time towards closing the gender gap by working as the Chapter Director of shesaid.so Dublin.
Leah Moran is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. Leah began her journey by posting short clips of her music on TikTok. Leahs debut single and was streamed by over 40K listeners. Leah's third studio single "What Happened To Us" brought significant critical acclaim, awarding the songstress the title of HOTPRESS HOT FOR 2022.
