Event description
Exploding Plastic Inevitable 2020 a film event inspired by 60s experimental cinema and Andy Warhol's infamous parties

About this Event

The Exploding Plastic Inevitable 2020

Join us for an entertaining evening of experimental films from the 1960s and 1970s.

The event is inspired by the infamous parties that took place in Andy Warhol’s Factory. The Exploding Plastic Inevitable was amongst the best known of these multimedia parties, featuring The Velvet Underground, dancers and a host of characters from his studio.

The abridged versions of the films will be shown in a purpose built cinema in the Gothic dining room in 8mm and super 8mm format to capture their full authenticity.

This is a rare chance to see these films as they are rarely shown in cinemas and equally difficult to find online. More films to be announced.
