We invite you to join artist Michelle Hall to observe and draw from the work of Mark Swords, in his solo exhibition Tribuna, showing in RHA's main Gallery 1 space.

Over the course of this drawing tour, you will explore a variety of drawing and mark-making techniques in response to the work in the exhibition.

These activities are aimed at all ages, for children aged 6+ to adults. Younger siblings are also welcome to join. Please note, parents/ guardians must stay with their children during the tour and are encouraged to take part.

*UPDATE: The Family Drawing Tour on Sunday 12th of December will now take place online via. Zoom.

Participants will be require to provide their own materials, such as:

  • Pencils
  • Eraser
  • Sharpener
  • White paper
  • Chalk pastels
  • Charcoal
  • Different types of paper (different colours/textures)
  • Colouring pencils
  • Crayons

You don't need to have all of these materials, a selection will do!

Please note, we require that all participants have their cameras on for the workshop.

As per the latest COVID-19 restrictions in Ireland, it is required that people attending tours in the gallery must observe social distancing and wear face coverings (unless exempt) at all times. It is preferred that all participants are fully vaccinated, or have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 6 months, exclusive of accompanied children under 18. The tour will be made up of socially distanced pods of groups attending together, as per current guidelines.

Michelle Hall is a visual artist based in Dublin, currently participating in Draíocht and Fingal Arts Office HOMEGROUND Research & Development Award 2020-2021. Her practice is also supported by the Arts Council Film Bursary 2020 and Professional Development Award 2020. Hall works across various disciplines including drawing, moving image, photography, text and performance.
