Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin – ‘Ireland Professor of Poetry.’
Music from Aoife Doyle (singer), Greg Felton (Piano), Cormac Breatnach (Susato whistles).
Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin is the current Ireland Professor of Poetry. Her seventh collection of poetry, The Sun-Fish, was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize and won the 2010 Griffin International Prize for poetry. Her poems are on the 2018 Leaving Certificate English poetry syllabus.
Aoife Doyle is a jazz, blues and traditional singer and musician from Bray. Her latest album and first of original material is ‘Clouds’, which the Sunday Times called ‘one of the finest Irish Jazz albums this year' www.aoifedoyle.com
Greg Felton is a highly experienced and prolific pianist and composer who has worked with luminaries such as Dave Liebman, Dave Douglas and Ronan Guilfoyle. He has toured internationally with the groups White Rocket and the Greg Felton Trio.
Cormac Breatnach has been immersed in the Irish musical tradition from early childhood. Throughout his long career as a whistle player he has played with artists as diverse as Elvis Costello, Vanessa Williams, Donal Lunny, and Susan McKeown.
