Fermented foods workshop with Val O'Connor

Fermented foods have never been so important for our health, as Hippocrates said "All disease begins in the gut" and enjoying these delcious foods is a way back to better digestive and overall health. As part of a healthy diet, foods like sauerkraut and kimchi can boost your vitamin intake, add fibre and give your gut flora a serious boost. In this two and half hour workshop you will learn how easy it is to make these foods at home with no expensive ingredients or special equipment.
On the night I will show you how to make crunchy, zingy sauerkraut, a spicy Koraen kimchi, some easy pickled vegetables, a beet kvass, bubbly kombucha, milk kefir and water kefir. This class aims to get you fermenting at home and includes all your recipes and tasters on the night.
