Description

In the summer of 1917, Catholics and Protestants united against a common enemy at the battles of Messines Ridge and Passchendaele. This is a story of triumph, lost lives and lost bodies. This full length documentary is made by The Irish Times and funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs with support from the Imperial War Museum.The film is made by The Irish Times journalist Ronan McGreevy, the author of Wherever the Firing Line Extends: Ireland and the Western Front, and by Irish Times videographer Enda O'Dowd.
