Séamus Hernon

Sligo-born flute and whistle player Séamus Hernon has been playing Irish music for over 30 years. He comes from a very musical family and his style, lively and rhythmical, has been influenced by the playing of flute players such as Peter Horan and Matt Molloy as well as that of his father P.J. Hernon, a renowned accordion player. He is passionate about Traditional Irish music and enjoys sharing his passion teaching students all over the world. He has performed in many venues and theatres across the country and played at festivals all over Europe with artists such as members of the band Dervish, Leonard Barry, Seamie O’Dowd and many more.
