A limited audience will be led on a performative walk to celebrate the spirit of Brigid, the hopeful coming of spring and with it, the opportunity to start afresh.

On St Bridget’s Eve, tradition had it that families gathered to eat the last of the potatoes, make the crosses, play music and enjoy each other’s company. Informed by these traditions and the collections of the NMI - Country Life at Turlough, commencing at 3.30 p.m., join us for a trail around the beautiful grounds of NMI - Country Life at Turlough Park House, Castlebar, featuring women members of Mayo’s Pipe Bands; artist and performer, Breda Mayock, with choir led by Musician Eriko Uehara Hopkinson; Mags Duffy visual artist; Catherine Donnelly dance artist and musicians Freda Hatton, Julie Langan with singer Mags Gallen.
