About this event
Venue is K.C.Y.M.S. COMMUNITY HALL, MILL ROAD, KILLORGLIN, CO. KERRY, V93 DN1Y
This is the LAST in a series of Information sessions and followup workshops being held in 9 locations around Kerry.
These events are being organised by Kerry Sustainable Energy Co-operative (KSEC), on foot of it's mission objectives to:
1: substitute reliance on imported and non-renewable energy with locally sourced, locally owned sustainable energy.
2: educate, assist and support individuals, families and communities in their drive to reduce energy consumption.
3: deliver on the vision of a 100% renewable energy supply in Kerry by 2030
The information session held on 10th December gave participants a broad view on how increased thermal comfort and improved indoor air quality can be achieved, as well as possibilities for energy reduction, and grant availablity.
Registration is essential. Capacity is restricted to 10 additional registered participants.
This followup workshop will give specific information on different ways of achieving increased comfort, from simple projects such as attic insulation or lighting upgrades to more whole-of-house projects, such as heating system, ventilation and building fabric upgrades. The steps involved, the new technologies available and the suitability of each, as well as the grants available will all be discussed.
The sessions will be led by Colm Ó hÁonghusa, who is an energy consultant and educator.
