FOR THE LOVE OF IT

A unique opportunity to be part of a fun and diverse 7-week Paddlesports programme created by Canoeing Ireland and being piloted in Castlebar in collaboration with Castlebar Adventure Hub, Atlantic Technical University (ATU) and Mayo Sports Partnership.

6 Saturday afternoons on Lough Lannagh will deliver 6 exciting paddlesports experiences: SUP, Slalom, Polo, Sea Kayaking, Open Canoe, Expedition Planning and Rescue Techniques. Culminating on the 7th week with an Open Canoe expedition with overnight camping on the waterways of Mayo.

7 Week Porgram

1. 7th May – Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP)
2. 14th May – Slalom
3. 21st May - Sea Kayaking
4. 28th May – Polo Kayaking
5. 4th June - Open boat Canoes
6. 11th June - Expedition Planning and Water Rescue.
7. 18th -19th June - Expedition weekend – Open Canoe expedition with overnight

Food and camping accessories not included in the price. Participants will need to self-source tents, sleeping bags etc for overnight expedition
