Introduction to edible weeds and trees
I have been leading foraging walks since 2011, I love introducing people to the edible plants that are all around us. I am particularly interested in foraging for flavour as opposed to foraging for calories.
I am offering a foraging walk in the general Nenagh area on the 25th of July between 11am and 1pm. I will endeavour to share with you what I know about the edible plants that we meet and their families. We will discuss how to prepare and eat some of these plants and we will talk about the plants to avoid and how to forage responsibly.
The exact meetup point and route is yet to be determined, but I will email you with details of that closer to the time. The walk will go ahead whatever the weather, so wet gear may be in order. Bring along a cup for some wild brew dandelion "coffee".
