Foraging, Wild Foods and Herbal Extractions

In this two hour workshop Tara from Siog will outline the principles of foraging and provide an overview of a wide variety of wild Irish herbs and their properties. The various methods of herbal extraction are discussed and participants are given a demonstration on how to make a vitamin rich tonic to ward off colds and flues. Samples of wild food are provided on the day and each participant gets to bring home a small jar of lavender and beeswax handcream.

In order to protect visitors and staff, it is mandatory that customers wear a face mask during their visit. If visitors arrive without a mask there will be some available to purchase in our Ecostore. Visitors will not be able to join a tour/workshop until they are wearing a face mask.
