About this Event
Cobh Ramblers is proud and delighted to be part of Douglass Week this year – a week long programme of events commemorating the legacy of Frederick Douglass, activist, author and abolitionist, who had a strong and transformative connection to Ireland after visiting in 1845.
This event will focus on the shared values of equality, diversity & inclusion and we’re delighted to have such a strong panel of speakers on the night including:
- Adam Idah, Irish International
- Bill O’ Leary, Chair of Cobh Ramblers
- Brendan Ogle, Unite Union ROI
- Mary McDonnell, Cobh Women’s Captain
- TJ Hogan, East Cork Travelers Project
We’re also delighted to welcome Dr Adrian Mulligan from Bucknell University, as well as a pre-recorded Q&A with Irish International Cyrus Christie on the day.
With contributions from local and global communities, this #DouglassWeek event is a must-attend and will take place on Saturday, 13th February, at 7pm.
