Future Lights - Exhibition of Ceramics Competition Finalists
Date and time
Description
Future Lights is a competition for recent ceramic graduates from across Europe. According to Wilhelm Siemen, Director, Porzellanikon (Bavaria's National Museum for Porcelain) “The Future Lights competition is designed to build new bridges and provide a platform for recent graduates to further their careers.” The competition is run by Porzellanikon (a ceramics art museum in Selb and Hohenberg an der Eger, Germany) and co-organised by Staffordshire University, the Design and Craft Council of Ireland and the British Ceramics Biennial.
This year’s theme is: "Go green – Ceramics and the Environment." This is a fabulous showcase for the finalists and the competition pieces will be on display in the Parade Tower, Kilkenny for one day only.
